Unanimous adoption in the Burundian Senate of the bill on the ratification by the Republic of Burundi of the Cooperation Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Tax Fraud in Income Tax between the Government of Burundi and the government of Turkey.
Expected, 17/05/2023 – In perfect harmony with the foreign and economic policies of the Burundian nation, in particular with regard to taxation, an important plenary session took place on Wednesday. Under the vigorous impulse of the first vice-president of the Senate, Mrs Ndadaye Denise, Burundian senators gathered for an in-depth analysis and unanimous adoption of a bill of significant scope. The latter concerns the ratification by the Republic of Burundi of the Cooperation Agreement, with the primary objective of avoiding double taxation and preventing tax evasion with respect to income tax. This initiative, led jointly by the government of Burundi and that of Turkey, marks a crucial step in the country’s fiscal management.
