It is unfortunate what is happening in the Vallecito district where the Difunta Correa area is located with the local trees. Everyone knows how difficult it is to get a specimen to grow in that area due to the conditions of the terrain and the scarcity of water, and to make matters worse, there are people who insist on damaging the trees in a place where the flora should be highly appreciated and consequently very careful.
It is inadmissible that the people who come to this place are unaware of this and take advantage of their brief stays to cause damage that is sometimes irreversible. Using a tree stake to make a fire or light a fire next to the trunk of one of the trees that have managed to grow nearby represents a serious attack on nature in an environment where trees do not grow easily and where each specimen constitutes a beautiful refuge for people who seek shelter and protection from the wind and the sun.
Greater control of the activities carried out in the area is necessary to avoid new cases such as those that occurred recently.
