MADRID, 22 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dimitro Kuleba, visited Morocco this Sunday, from where he warned of the “proliferation” of proposals for peace plans.

“We agree that the proliferation of proposals can lead to having too many proposals. That is why Ukraine offers the international community to focus on the peace plan proposed by Ukraine,” Kuleba said at a press conference from Rabat together with his Moroccan counterpart. , Nasser Bourita.

Kuleba has thus invited Morocco to support the Ukrainian peace plan and has stressed that it is a ten-point proposal that addresses key issues in areas such as security, nuclear or humanitarian.

He has also expressed his “sincere gratitude” to Rabat’s diplomatic support for Ukraine with his favorable vote in the UN General Assembly. “Morocco has voted in favor of important resolutions for the restoration of peace in Ukraine,” she recalled.

The head of Ukrainian Diplomacy has underlined Ukraine’s commitment to the supply of grain. “Ukraine wants to be a guarantor of food security in Africa”, he stressed.

Kuleba also took the opportunity to express his support for the work of the special envoy of the UN Secretary General for Western Sahara, Staffan De Mistura, to “achieve a mutually acceptable political solution in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council”.

Official Moroccan media have interpreted these statements as Kuleba’s support for the autonomy plan proposed by Rabat as a way out of the dispute over Western Sahara, a former Spanish colony occupied by Morocco since 1975.
