The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, met this Monday in Moncloa with Sam Altman, co-founder of OpenAI, the company that operates the ChatGPT tool. At the meeting, he stressed that artificial intelligence (AI) is an opportunity for development but must respect democratic rights and values.
“I have met with Sam Altman, co-founder of OpenAIwith whom I have shared that Artificial Intelligence is an enormous opportunity to modernize our societies”, Sánchez wrote in a message on Twitter, collected by Europa Press.
He then pointed out that it is “essential that its development respect the rights and democratic values». The first vice president and minister of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, Nadia Calviño, also participated in the meeting.
