Gaston Mutamba Permission

According to my know-it-all friend, power has fallen into the trap set by the opposition. Their activists have multiplied provocations against the police. The shocking images of children being beaten up and beaten give the impression that power is a dictatorship that does not want to fight fairly.

This Saturday, May 20 was not a day like the others. First of all, it’s the anniversary of the Popular Movement of the Revolution (MPR), a party created by Marshal Mobutu, which was supposed to exist forever. We know the rest!

It is still on this day, as in the days of decadent Kabilism, that the governor of the City of Kinshasa, Gentiny Ngobila, chooses to authorize 3 simultaneous demonstrations. Stupor and tremors! According to my friend who knows what is happening in every nook and cranny of ramshackle Kinshasa, Gentiny Ngobila authorized the opposition demonstrations today, namely the front made up of Moïse Katumbi, Martin Fayulu, Matata Ponyo and Delly Sesanga, as well as the Youth League of the UDPS (Union for Democracy and Social Progress) and the ACP (Alliance of Progressive Congolese), the party of the governor of the city. The authorized routes are as follows: The opposition will go from the Sakombi roundabout then the Kasavubu avenue and finally the Victoire avenue to drop at the YMCA place. The opposition rejected this route. The Youth League/UDPS will march from the Ngaba roundabout to Saint Raphaël. The ACP, will make its demonstration on the municipal ground of Masina.

Initially, the opposition had asked permission to march, in anger on May 13, against insecurity, the chaotic electoral process and the high cost of living while its main leaders eat 3 times a day. Saperlipopette! Claiming security problems, the city authorities postponed the march to May 18. But fearing pitfalls, the opposition forcefully decided to march on May 20. She also decided on her own route, different from that indicated by the city authorities. Thus, a route was programmed from the Super Lemba roundabout to the Boulevard Triomphal, near the People’s Palace, seat of Parliament, passing in particular through Limete, the historic stronghold of the UDPS. They decided thus knowing that any march that does not respect the imposed itinerary will be repressed by the police.

Clever as anything, they wrote a letter to the very politicized ICC (International Criminal Court) and to Monusco for the deployment of their agents in Kinshasa during the march. Holy shit! Every action causes an equal and opposite reaction, this is Newton’s third law. For those who don’t know, an apple that fell on Newton’s head was the basis for the enunciation of the theory of universal gravitation. In countries where there are no apple trees, it suffices to observe the elders. With age everything falls: hair, eyesight, teeth, breasts, belly, buttocks and even the waist. These are the effects of gravity. Hell and damnation! Anyway next!

This explaining that, the 4 musketeers were prevented by the police from reaching the Super Lemba place which was to serve as their starting point. The repression was brutal to their great satisfaction, they who were only waiting for this to prove their existence. They claimed they had escaped death during a press briefing where there was much more heat and smoke but no light. Stupor and tremors! According to my know-it-all friend, power has fallen into the trap set by the opposition. Their activists have multiplied provocations against the police. Despite weak mobilization, the brutal repression that followed was a bitter victory. The shocking images of children being beaten up and beaten up were brandished in the face of the world. This gives the impression that power is a dictatorship that does not want to fight fair. Instead, let the opposition walk freely. This is the game of democracy. This helps to trivialize the protests. The opposition is planning further actions in the coming weeks. As if that were not enough, the Secular Coordinating Committee (CLC) also announces demonstrations to defeat the electoral chaos imposed by the government.

We say that a lie can destroy everything. The truth only hurts for a moment.
