Directed by Kabir Khan, the film stars Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev. Deepika Padukone plays Kapil’s wife Romia Padia. Jeeva plays the role of Srikanth, a Tamil Nadu player who was part of the Indian team that won the 1983 World Cup.
Ranveer Singh released the first look of ’83 ‘, co-produced by producer Madhu Mattena, Kabir Khan and Vishnu Induri, on his birthday last year. The film is set to release on the 24th. In turn, the Arvind Kejriwal government has announced that 83 films will be tax-exempt in Delhi.
