With this new service, passengers will have the option of using the portable batteries for up to a maximum of twelve hours both during journeys and outside them. These charging stations are located in six stations of the network.
For this supply, an agreement has been signed with the company Chargy, which will provide the loan charging devices for travelers during said trip. Regarding its use, it should be noted that its use is for a maximum period of twelve hours, both for journeys within the light rail network and for activities outside of it. With this agreement, the operator complements the improvement that it implemented more than six years ago through the installation of free USB chargers in all vehicles in the fleet.
Pilot project
These recharges are already available as a pilot project in six stations: Colonia Jardín, Somosaguas Sur, Av. Europa, Estación de Aravaca, Montepríncipe and Puerta de Boadilla. The devices have been located in the areas with the greatest visibility and influx of travelers. After using them, the possibility of returning it is offered at any of the stations where this initiative has been launched or at the locations offered in the Chargy web application or web application.
