The main tool for increasing the wages of public sector employees is a phased planned increase in the base rate. From January 1 this year, it has been increased to Br228. Its further increase is planned to Br231. Already now we are working with the Ministry of Finance, we are counting on the possibility of an increase. An increase in the third quarter of this year is preliminarily calculated,” she said. Natalia Pavlyuchenko.

Another direction is raising the minimum wage. Since the beginning of 2023, it has already been increased to Br554. In addition, an important point is the establishment of incentive payments to employees of educational institutions, health care, physical culture, sports, culture and social services. These decisions have also been made.

“Taking into account all the measures taken, the real increase in the wages of public sector employees over the three months amounted to 3.1%, while the real increase in wages in the country as a whole by 1.7%. With the implementation of all the planned measures, we can already confidently say that the real growth of salaries in the public sector at the end of the current year will be ensured,” Natalia Pavlyuchenko summed up.
