The FEG draws up its balance sheet and approves its accounts

DIG/ MEETING, on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, in an ordinary general meeting, the members of the Federation of Gabonese Companies (FEG) approved accounts for the financial years from 2015 to 2022.

These are characterized by an increase of 25.51%, according to the auditors.

But beyond this satisfactory figure, this meeting above all highlighted the will of the FEG to contribute to the transformation of the Gabonese economy to make it more competitive.

In this spirit, in the presence of Prime Minister Alain Claude Bilie-By-Nze, the president of the employers’ organization, Henri-Claude Oyima, underlined « the need to strengthen the competitiveness of our businesses, improve access to financing, promote innovation and stimulate economic diversification”.

Not without mentioning the role of the FEG in boosting our economy.

“The vision of the FEG, which today brings together 579 companies of all sizes and from all sectors, is to build a strong economy to guarantee national sovereignty.

This implies a transformation of the current model which consists in promoting the interest of Gabonese companies in particular and, in general, the economic development of the country., said Henri-Claude Oyima.

Some might wonder about the presence of the Head of Government and certain members of his team at this general meeting of employers.

For Alain Claude Bilie-By-Nze, «it reflects the importance that the highest authorities grant to the private sector and its essential role in Gabon’s economy”.

Also, he reaffirmed the government’s commitment to establish a business-friendly environment and encourage local entrepreneurship.

Likewise, he pointed out the importance of dialogue and collaboration between his team and companies to meet economic challenges and stimulate growth.

This is all the more fundamental since no country can develop without a strong, dynamic and resilient private sector.

“Our economic strength can only thrive with a strong and diverse business fabric that further stimulates commerce, trade and investment”, insisted the president of the FEG.

While measuring the transformation efforts driven by the public authorities to propose solutions to common problems.
