The current head of the Prosecutor’s Office against the Smuggling of Migrants, Stuardo Campo, was captured this Friday. It was unofficially known that the arrest is derived from a complaint filed by the Foundation Against Terrorism (FCT), 5 months ago, which also involved officials and former officials of the Public Ministry (MP).

It is worth mentioning that the official served as head of the Prosecutor’s Office against Corruption of the Public Ministry (MP), as well as in other positions within the institution. However, in April 2021, Campo was transferred from the Prosecutor’s Office at the request of the Attorney General, Consuelo Porras.
During his administration, Campo was in charge of the Libramiento de Chimaltenango case, among other files of officials accused of alleged corruption. Campo’s last action in that Prosecutor’s Office was to request the arrest warrant against Judge Mynor Moto for alleged irregularities in the Libramiento de Chimaltenango case.
