Professionals from the Castilla y León mental health association movement learn to apply the gender perspective in their projects
The training was held within the framework of the “Plural Feminine Future” conference, with the aim that the projects integrate a vision of equality and inclusion from their ideation.
Around 70 professionals from entities associated with the Castilla y León Mental Health Federation have been trained in gender perspective, with the aim of acquiring the necessary knowledge to implement it when devising, preparing and developing care projects for women. users of the entities.
The Workshop ‘Incorporation of the gender perspective in our projects’ was eminently practical and was structured around three specific blocks. A first part in which we wanted to take a tour, as a reminder, of the basic concepts on gender, which in turn served to establish the bases on which to develop any type of work and initiative by the professional teams of the entities.
In the second part of the workshop, the planning processes when developing a project were addressed, “trying to ensure that when generating new initiatives, they comply with the vision of equality and inclusion so that it is not a task to be carried out later, but is integrated naturally into the ideation of any project”they explain from the Castilian-Leonese federation.
Lastly, the professionals who participated in the workshop designed possible projects around employment issues; youths; personal assistance; supervised housing; work with men and gender violence, trying to implement the knowledge acquired, applying the gender perspective.
