2021 was dominated for better or for worse by the news of the Covid-19 pandemic caused by the Sars-CoV-2 virus and its variants. In addition to vaccines, however, there is some new perspective. These are the anti-Covid pills developed by Merck and Pfizer (molnupiravir and paxlovid) and the treatments with monoclonal antibodies, of which there are at least four. The latter can be used in the early stages of the disease to prevent hospitalization, within a few days of the onset of symptoms.
