Presenter Miljuschka Witzenhausen kicks off the collection week with her own online collection box. Her daughter Felina had her first epileptic seizure at the age of three and they have been looking for answers ever since.
Miljuschka Witzenhausen: “Epilepsy is something mysterious until you have to deal with it. My daughter has had epilepsy for six years now. More money must be made available for research so that solutions can be found. We have been dealing with medication and diagnostics for years, but still “We are lagging behind. Disrupts lives
Epilepsy disrupts lives. 200,000 people in the Netherlands who are directly affected and more than a million people with a partner, parent, child, brother or sister. Their lives can be disrupted at any time by an epileptic seizure. 30 percent of people do not become seizure free, even with medication. The collectors of EpilepsyNL are committed to bringing the solution closer.
