The MultiMedica Marelli corporate vaccination center was inaugurated today in Sesto San Giovanni (MI), born from the collaboration between the MultiMedica Group and Campari Group. The space, at the service of a wide-ranging socio-health and economic project intended to promote the vaccination campaign in the Lombard industrial system for the whole of 2021, represents a concrete opportunity to guarantee vaccination to the largest possible number of workers of Lombard companies, in the shortest time possible. They were present at the inauguration Gabriele Rabaiotti, Councilor for Social and Housing Policies of the Municipality of Milan, e Roberto Di Stefano, Mayor of Sesto San Giovanni.

Thanks to a virtuous partnership between two important companies in the area, like MultiMedica and Campari Group, it was in fact possible to reconvert and adapt the large spaces of a disused building in the historic headquarters of Ercole Marelli, in Sesto San Giovanni, creating an Extraordinary Territorial Vaccination Center in a very short time.

With an area of about 2,000 square meters. the MultiMedica Marelli vaccination center, located in Viale Thomas Alva Edison 50, has 10 vaccine lines and is able to guarantee up to 200 vaccine administrations per hour, for a total of 2,000 per day. Connected to the city of Milan through line 1 of the Milanese Metro, and close to the motorway networks, it is easily accessible by both public and private transport. In this facility, open from Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 to 20:00, an indistinct, massive and long-lasting corporate vaccination service will be provided, with the aim of offering efficient and concrete support to the vaccination campaign, also supporting the regional production system.

The new Center, inaugurated today, is already operational. The launch of the immunization campaign is expected as soon as the Lombardy Region will make the vaccines to be administered to the staff available to the member companies.

“The Marelli MultiMedica Vaccinal Center is the first hub designed specifically for companies, which will be able to immunize their collaborators here”, declares Daniele Schwarz, Chief Executive Officer of the MultiMedica Group. “We see this service as an act of social and political responsibility, in the noble sense of the term: each new hub is a step forward towards mass immunization, the only solution that will allow us to get out of the crisis and return to carrying out each own activities. Thanks to Campari Group – continues Schwarz – for having collaborated, with its own support, in the rapid realization of what for MultiMedica is the fourth vaccination center and represents the first healthcare activity we carried out within the former Marelli area. This compendium it represents an important part of Italian industrial history; purchased by the MultiMedica Group in 2020, it is currently the subject of an important urban redevelopment and regeneration project, aimed at creating the Marelli Innovation District, which will host the new headquarters of IRCCS MultiMedica ”.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Campari Group has been at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19 through donations, the production of sanitizing gel when it was not available and activities in support of institutions, hospitals and local communities in the various countries in which we operate. In continuity with this commitment, we are proud to return to support the MultiMedica Group in this important initiative on our territory: a concrete action to support the anti Covid-19 vaccination campaign in a crucial phase for the restart of the country “, commented Bob Kunze-Concewitz, CEO of Campari Group.

“We are very happy – comments Roberto Di Stefano, Mayor of Sesto San Giovanni – to host a new vaccine center on our territory, the first in Lombardy dedicated to company employees: a further step in the unprecedented vaccination campaign, which sees us all at the forefront. The fact that a disused area of the city is being converted for the battle against Covid is even more significant than the efforts put in place. Sesto San Giovanni is confirmed as one of the cities in Italy with more vaccination hubs in its territory and we are very proud of this. I would like to thank Gruppo MultiMedica for their unremitting commitment and Gruppo Campari for the great contribution it is making during the pandemic ”.

“The municipality of Milan – declares the Councilor for Policies and Housing Gabriele Rabaiotti – thanks the MultiMedica Group and Campari for this new vaccination center for workers in Lombardy companies, a precious support for speeding up the immunization campaign. The public needs the solidarity of the private sector, such as that of the MultiMedica Group and Campari, to strengthen welfare in this difficult time. The opening of this vaccination center in the Ercole Marelli area, converted with the support of Campari, is good news not only for the city and for the entire metropolitan area, but also for our country ”.
