MADRID, 31 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Russian government has temporarily banned the export of various munitions in the midst of the invasion of Ukraine, unleashed on February 24, 2022 by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a decision “aimed at ensuring the protection of state interests.”

The Russian Executive has indicated in a statement published on its website that the decision has been signed by the Prime Minister, Mikhail Mushustin, and has added that it affects “cartridges for civil and military rifles, as well as shells for firearms of certain calibers.

“The ban does not apply to the export of cartridges and casings that guarantee the activities of the Russian Armed Forces abroad, other forces and military formations,” he stated, before stressing that it is part of the application of the decree of Putin on the “imposition of special economic measures to ensure the security of Russia.”
