Roger Federer and Robert De Niro are the protagonists of the latest spot of Switzerland Tourism, the national organization that takes care of marketing activities for Switzerland. Federer, as the new ambassador of the organization, calls the Oscar winner to ask him to take part in a film, but De Niro refuses: “Switzerland is too perfect”. De Niro does not question that the country offers unspoiled nature and absolutely beautiful landscapes, but in Switzerland he lacks the pathos, a key element of his acting. In fact, he adds: “Roger, I’m a certain type of actor. I need extreme things, conflicts, dangers ”. The tennis player then said: “I am happy to do a worldwide campaign to invite people to discover the beauty of Switzerland. I am very proud to come from such a fascinating country ”.
