Collector Vishnu is taking steps to demolish 168 school buildings in Tirunelveli district after the current inspection. We started the survey last August on the demolition of such old buildings. Schools have asked for a compound wall.
“We have asked each MLA to allocate Rs 3 crore out of the block development fund of Rs 90 lakh for school building development,” Mahesh told reporters.
