This Friday (2), at 9:30 pm, on the stage of Casa Natura Musical, in São Paulo, two excellent contemporary pianists will meet: Amaro Freitas and Zé Manoel.
The show will pay homage to a MPB classic, released in 1972, the album “Clube da Esquina”, which recorded, among other songs, “Tudo Que Você Podia Ser”, by Lô Borges and Márcio Borges, and “Cais”, by Milton Nascimento and Ronaldo Bastos.
Allied to jazz, Pernambuco pianist Amaro Freitas recorded with his trio the albums “Sangue Negro” (2016), “Rasif” (2018) and “Sankofa” (2021).
The pianist, composer and singer from Pernambuco, Zé Manoel, was recorded by artists such as Ana Carolina, Elza Soares (1930-2022), Fafá de Belém and Vanessa da Mata. His album “Delírio De Um Romance a Céu Aberto” (2016) won the Brazilian Music Award in the Special Project category, and his fourth album, entitled “Do Meu Coração Nu” (2020), had the special appearances of Luedji Luna, maestro Letieres Leite (1959-2021) and American singer Gabriela Riley.
