The Guatemalan Migration Institute (IGM) reported that a flight with returned Guatemalans from Harligen, Texas; United States, was diverted to El Salvador. This after the pilot reported mechanical failures in the aircraft.

The IGM indicated that the flight with returned migrants landed in El Salvador, where a transfer will take place, so the 135 Guatemalans (adults) are expected to return to the country at 3:00 p.m. this day.

“The Guatemalan Institute of Migration confirms that people are well, likewise coordinated with the corresponding institutions to guarantee a comprehensive return,” they reported.
