The 2023 Science, Technology and Innovation Agenda (CTI Agenda) has arrived, a program developed by the Municipality of Rafaela in conjunction with academic, scientific and technological entities of the city.
Among the institutions participating this year are: the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI); the Institute for Sustainable Development of Rafaela; the National University of the Litoral (UNL- Rafaela-Sunchales headquarters); the National University of Rafaela (UNRaf); the Catholic University of Santiago del Estero (UCSE- Rafaela); the Higher Institute of Teachers Nº2 “Dr. Joaquín V. González” (ISP Nº2); the Technological Institute of Rafaela (ITEC) and the EESO Nº428 “Luisa R. de Barreiro”.
This new edition will begin on Tuesday, June 6 and will run until Friday, July 7. There are five weeks with a program that allows students of all levels to get closer to scientists and specialists who work in laboratories, workshops and study centers in Rafaela.
With the aim of promoting face-to-face meetings in the city’s schools, this year the “Science Delivery” modality returns, where educational institutions may request visits to their establishments. Although this will be the main proposal, the schedule contemplates the possibility of organizing guided visits to organizations or institutions, as well as talks in public spaces, according to the interests of the organizing institution.
For this year, 6 thematic axes were chosen:

  • Axis 1: Generating without gender: how to do science without excluding in the attempt. The cycle will address the importance of integrating the gender perspective in scientific research, seeking to promote inclusion and diversity in science.
  • Axis 2: Techno-scientists: thinking about the future. A cycle that seeks to reflect on the impact that technology and science will have on the society of the future.
  • Axis 3: Science to care for the planet. Focused on developing solutions to protect the environment and combat climate change.
  • Axis 4: Say thirty-three: healthy science. The importance of science in daily life and how it can be an ally for a healthy life.
  • Axis 5: Experiment in the laboratory. An opportunity to learn first-hand how a scientific laboratory works, discover science in an entertaining and participatory way and develop new skills.
  • Axis 6: Science à la Carte. A cycle for discussion, the exchange of ideas and the dissemination of scientific culture, which may include astronomy, mathematics, riddles, social sciences and neurosciences.

The programming includes more than 70 activities. In the following link you can access each of the proposals t.ly/SAjp. Each activity is aimed at a specific group and will take place in public spaces in the city or schools will be visited with the desire to awaken vocations and motivate curiosity among children and young people from Rafaela and the region.
