G. What were the main challenges you faced when you founded the firm?
L.M.R. “The reality is that I am not the founder of Black Limba, but I did take on the challenge of leading this company since the outbreak of COVID, in March 2020. The main challenges we have faced since then have revolved around resilience , humility and reality check We have had to fight each and every day to make this company a brand that people can relate to, both inside and outside of Black Limba.
I believe that a company’s vision is a very relevant element, but seeing how the world has changed in recent years, I have chosen to believe that it is the ability to adapt that can determine the success or failure of a company. For this reason, we continue to work very hard to integrate these new learnings into the company, and to be able to use them to our advantage in the very near future.”
G. How has it evolved over the years?
L.M.R. “I think we have come a long way. Perhaps the results have not yet shown it, but I am fully confident that this will be reversed before the end of 2023. We have managed to keep our clients, but we have encountered certain difficulties when it comes to attracting new fans of the brand. Fortunately, I have a team that is a real challenge machine. For this reason, we have decided to turn towards an omnichannel business model, which allows us to integrate the customer’s shopping experience in the world. online and in the offline”.
G. What does it mean to enter El Corte Inglés?
L.M.R. “It is a unique opportunity to create a symbiotic relationship with the largest department store specialists in this country. Since February of this year, we have been present in 36 centers throughout Spain, and this decision has been a strategic commitment on both sides. We are very satisfied with this alliance, although we are aware that we still have certain aspects to polish”.
