Fatal accident on Histadrut Boulevard in Kiryat Haim. A vehicle hit an 80-year-old pedestrian who was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have opened an investigation.

At 20:36, a report was received at MDA’s 101 hotline in the Carmel area about an accident that occurred on Road 4 on Histadrut Boulevard near the police station. Police opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident and the driver of the offending vehicle, was detained on the spot.
A senior paramedic riding an MDA motorcycle, Itai Mazor, said: “The wounded man was lying on the road tens of meters from the cart with which he was moving. He suffered a very severe multi-system injury and after medical tests we have no choice but to determine his death. The driver of the car, 24, who was agitated, did not need to be evacuated to a hospital. “
