Security breach during President’s convoy in Thiruvananthapuram. An attempt was made to load the car of the mayor of Thiruvananthapuram into the convoy of the President. The incident took place on the way to Poojappura from Thiruvananthapuram airport yesterday. According to protocol, no other vehicle is allowed inside the President’s convoy.

There are fourteen vehicles in the President’s convoy. The mayor’s vehicle was behind the eighth vehicle in the convoy. The mayor’s vehicle was traveling from St. Xavier’s Thumba parallel to the president’s convoy. On arrival at the General Hospital, the mayor’s vehicle was loaded into the President’s convoy and overturned into the eighth vehicle.
With this, the vehicles behind had to brake suddenly. The head was not injured. Meanwhile, President Ramnath Kovind returned to Delhi after visiting Kerala.
