Associations of Ukrainians in Madrid They have concentrated this Sunday in the center of the capital to remember and make visible in our country the war events that are taking place after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In Madrid’s Plaza de Isabel II and behind a large Ukrainian flag, fifty protestersmostly Ukrainians settled and residing in Madrid, have said no to the guerra that shakes their country, while launching slogans and chants against the Russian president Vladimir Putin.
With banners that read “Europe acts, Ukraine wants peace” or “The victory of Ukraine is the victory of the world”, the protesters have once again called for support and solidarity, as well as freedom for their people.
Andriy Modrytskyy, president of the Ukrainian Association of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), has indicated in statements to EFE that the concentration is “a call everyone in generaland the Spanish in particular to help fight for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
For Modrytskyy, one more Sunday, since February 24, 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine, “Ukrainian associations have met to ask that no one forget this war nor of Ukrainian women and men, because we not only defend peace in Ukraine, but in the whole world,” he concluded.
