The People’s Liberation Front (PLF) staged a protest rally in Trincomalee today, blaming the government for the economic crisis in the country.
Large numbers of people participated in the rally which started from Kantalai and reached Trincomalee.

He said the demonstration was being held against the current economic crisis in the country, fuel prices and the rise in prices of essential commodities.
The government has been deceiving the people by making false promises and ascending to power.
Thousands of people are leaving the country due to the inability to live in the country, and the burden of living on Christmas and New Year is unimaginably high.
He strongly condemned the deregulation of all essential commodities in the country and said that the government should find a solution as soon as possible.
He also said that all should unite to travel with the People’s Liberation Front and rebuild this country without trusting this deceitful government.
