Alappuzha: All the accused in the murder case of SDPI state secretary KS leader Shan have been arrested. All the accused who were directly involved in the murder have been arrested. Five people were eventually arrested. Atul from Mannancherry and Jishnu, Vishnu, Abhimanyu and Sanant from Ambalappuzha were arrested.

Atul and Jishnu were arrested from Ambalappuzha and Vishnu, Abhimanyu and Sanant from Aroor.

The double murder in Alappuzha that shocked Kerala took place on the night of December 11 and at 12 noon. The SDPI leader was killed on Saturday night and the BJP leader on Sunday morning. Shane was hacked to death by a group of men who arrived in a car on Saturday.
