Secondly, its gastronomy. Italy is well known for its Mediterranean food, and according to Jeff Miller, travel blogger at Our Passion for Travel, “Bologna has arguably the best food scene in all of Italy.” This city is also known for its many street food markets.
Finally, Bologna stands out mainly for its accessibility. It’s “fully walkable” so you can save some serious bucks on public transportation or even renting a car. Furthermore, if the Bolognese experience does not satisfy, other cities such as Florence (117 km), Venice (150 km) or Milan (213 km) are also relatively close.
