The Iranian ambassador to Yemen, who died in Corona and was part of the Revolutionary Guards, was wanted by the United States, with a $ 15 million reward for anyone who provided information on his location.

The Iranian envoy to Yemen who died last Tuesday after being urgently evacuated to Tehran due to his health condition, is suspected as commander of a Quds force on him with a US $ 15 million price tag on his head.

Suspicions about the Iranian ambassador’s true identity have been reported in the US media. This was reported by the television channel Iran international.

The General – The Ambassador was a mysterious figure who was never shown in pictures in the Iranian media. Hassan Irlo, who was Iran’s ambassador to Yemen to the Houthi rebels, died last Tuesday at the age of 63, two days after his return from Yemen on an Iraqi plane in coordination with Saudi Arabia, which controls Yemeni airspace controlled by the Houthis identified with Iran.

At Irlo’s funeral on Wednesday, Deputy Commander of the Revolutionary Guards Ali Fadawi called him a “fighter on the front lines” and blamed the US and its allies for delaying Irlo’s evacuation from Sanaa Yemen, which Iran claims led to his death.

Irlo was appointed Iranian ambassador to the Houthi-controlled Yemeni capital, Sanaa, in October, where he presented his credentials to Houthi Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf, but how he arrived in Yemen despite the siege remains a mystery.

The Wall Street Journal in a report last week claimed that the Houthis had asked Tehran to expel Irlo from Yemen, but both Iran and the Houthi leadership denied the report, insisting that the ambassador was suffering from corona and needed to receive medical treatment in Iran.

U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a Oct. 21 tweet that Irlo was a member of the Hezbollah-linked Revolutionary Guards smuggled into Yemen under the guise of an ambassador in the Houthi militia.
