The Syrian regime has unloaded its chemical arsenal on the civilian population of the country. There is evidence, says and writes reporter Joby Warrick, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The red line, out on 13 May for La nave di Teseo (which also re-proposes Black flags, on Isis, first published in 2016). Yet the Syrian regime – ten years after the war began – is still there, supported by powerful friends (especially Putin’s Russia) and Western sympathies.
