After rising to the top of the most-watched programs on the French Netflix platform in 2022, the rap show New school made its long-awaited comeback in May 2023. However, if the public of last year lingered on technical details among the young candidates, this year, the show is on fire for its controversies.

Criticism of rap for its sexism is hardly surprising, but this time around, accusations of misogyny riddle the show, to the point of dividing Generation Z, yet the target audience.
