The Vice Minister of Comprehensive Health Care, Carmen Guerrero, fulfilled a technical agenda to verify actions within the framework of strengthening health services. She toured first and second level establishments in Guayas and Los Ríos.
The verification of the quality of services was carried out in the cantons of: Quevedo, Milagro, Buena Fe and Babahoyo. It began at the Hospital Sagrado Corazón Jesús, where he verified the functionality of the laboratory, pediatrics, and imaging areas. This operating unit extends its coverage to cantons surrounding Quevedo.
After the inspection, a technical work table was set up with the participation of the zonal coordinator and those responsible for the different procedures. It was established as a priority to provide security in 24 health units of the Quevedo-Buena Fe-Mocache health district, in addition to the acquisition of hospital beds and neonatal cribs for the Sacred Heart of Jesus Hospital.
The authority also toured the areas of the Buena Fe Health Center, and the CAI 3 operating units and the Dr. León Becerra Camacho Hospital in Milagro.
During the visit to the Milagro Hospital, Guerrero, he verified the care protocol, the supply of medicines and equipment, and also held a meeting with the staff of the administrative area to learn more about the needs of that health home. The long day of work culminated in the Martín Icaza de Babahoyo Hospital.
Currently, the Basic Hospital Sagrado Corazón de Jesús has an 80% supply of medicines, while the General Hospital León Becerra Camacho de Milagro maintains a stock of medicines of 74%.
