Why LR deputies will finally vote on the military programming law

The Republicans fall into line. The boss of LR deputies in the National Assembly Olivier Marleix indicated on Tuesday 6 June that his group was “moving” towards a vote at first reading in favor of the military programming law (LPM) which will be discussed this Wednesday in the hemicycle and which provides 413 billion euros over seven years to finance the armies. This vote will however be conditioned “on the fact that in the Senate, the government goes after the promises it seemed to make”, warned Olivier Marleix, cautious in his position.
