Elections 2023: “I vote better”, the digital platform to meet the candidates

In order to put a face and a name on the candidates seeking a popular election position in the 2023 General Elections, the National Civic Movement (NCM) enabled the digital platform “yovotomejor.com“, and that citizens have the necessary information to cast a more informed vote.

Paulina Brizcivic education coordinator in the Yo Voto Mejor project, reported that the population can access the information in the same place to know the candidacies by name, position, party, department or municipalitywhose filters are available by selecting the “candidates” option.

The available profiles are: presidential pairings, the first five boxes of the lists for deputies and mayoral candidates.

The user can also save the profiles of their favorite candidates or obtain civic information from why, who and how we elect, the candidate nomination process, the electoral campaign, what is a republic and democracy.

“We want people not to feel alienated from the electoral process or the candidates that will represent them in their respective districts,” Briz said.

Likewise, Briz commented that users have a button to share information about the candidate or political parties to complement the profile, which some political organizations have already done. Also they can leave comments or share the candidate’s profile on social networks.

5. By selecting the “candidates” option you can choose information by position, party, municipality or department

I vote better is a project driven by National Civic Movement which contributes to all Guatemalans objectively knowing the information of the candidates for the 2023 electoral process. In addition, it provides civic education tools to promote citizen leadership.
