This mid-week shakes up her daily life a little more, with, in quick succession, her absence from the list of players selected by coach Hervé Renard for the next World Cup in Australia (July 20-August 20), as well as the exit of his autobiography this Wednesday. For Kheira Hamraoui, his professionalism cannot be called into question when it comes to the coach’s final choice: “At PSG, I played this season with two players who were against me (Kadidiatou Diani and Marie-Antoinette Katoto) and that worked. We are able to play together and win matches. In all trades, there are people who don’t talk to each other, but that doesn’t prevent us from working together. I have always been professional on the field and in group life. (…) I thank her (Corinne Deacon) for having been able to make sense of things during this affair. She only judged me on a sporting level. »
She also explains in the daily “to be up and keep smiling”, while affirming that there is still a long way to go: “I think that I will never be completely cured. I will keep the scars. Today is better. I started sleeping alone again, at home, only seven months after the attack. The first evening I did not succeed. I heard noises, I became paranoid. I had to call a friend at 3am to come and reassure me. My relatives then weaned me gradually. All these difficulties are now behind me. I try not to think about it anymore. »
