Blizzard will team up with McFarlane Toys to launch a new line of collectibles

Blizzardthe famous developer of Diablo, Overwatch y Warcraftwill join forces with the renowned manufacturer of collectibles McFarlane Toys. Together they will produce a new line based on the studio’s popular video game franchises.

The announcement was published on the McFaralate Toys website in a post on its official blog.

«What we try to do at McFarlane is find great brands that look great. It’s a pretty simple formula that can be very hard to come by, but the talented creators at Blizzard have been creating and designing tons of fun, detailed, and visually stunning worlds in their games for decades. And now, my company can go play with them.“, said Todd McFarlanefounder of the toy house.

McFarlane is not new to the world of geek culture and collectibles. In the nineties, the toy giant today served as an artist in Marvel Comics y DC Comicsrevitalizing superheroes like Spider-Man y Batman, which made him a star in that industry. Soon after, he opened his own comic book publisher, Imageand launched his own creation to fame: Spawn. The latter inspired McFarlane to create his first line of high-quality, incredibly detailed toys, which earned him work with franchises such as The X-Files, KISS, Los Simpsons, Los Beatles, Naruto Shippuden and recently one of the largest DC Comics lines, DC Directwhich started in 2021 and continues to this day.

McFarlane announced that they are working on collectibles from Diablo, World of Warcraft and the anticipated Warcraft Arclight Rumble. These are expected to hit stores in the coming months.
