Is Prigozhin directing mercenaries against the Kremlin?

The Wagner boss and his group of mercenaries have long been at odds with the Kremlin. Russian fighters are said to have fired on Wagner troops in the embattled town of Bakhmut. The private army later announced that it had captured the Russian lieutenant colonel believed to have been responsible for the shelling.

According to a report by the American news portal “Newsweek”, Prigozhin also gave the Ministry of Defense in Moscow an ultimatum in the interview. He hinted that he could mobilize his troops against Vladimir Putin if the required supply of ammunition continues to fail. He may even be planning to go personally to the ministry with the Wagner group and demand new projectiles and rockets there. Prigozhin has long accused the Russian leadership of deliberately refusing supplies to the mercenaries.
