Despite rising interest on savings: millions of Germans can no longer put money away | life & knowledge

It’s absurd: On the one hand, German financial institutions outdo each other when it comes to interest on savings – up to 3.35 percent on overnight money are in it. But the majority of Germans no longer have any money in their accounts to save.

According to a recent survey by Creditreform, more than 20 percent of consumers often have “financial stress”, i.e. higher expenses than income.
