Al-Marsad Newspaper: Egyptian Dr. Gamal Shaaban, professor of cardiology, revealed the benefits of watermelon.
He said, during a post he wrote on his account on the social networking site Facebook, that watermelon is a natural Viagra, and it prevents heart attacks and contains a high percentage of water, simple sugars, and potassium salt that prevents dehydration and is suitable for heat waves.
He added: Watermelon also contains antioxidant flavonoids, lycopene prevents clots, and citrulline expands arteries like Viagra. Pointing out that the substance, which works like Viagra, is found in a part between the red watermelon and the watermelon rind itself.
