Jean Imbert unveils the programming of his Plaza Cinéma Club

Por the second consecutive year, the Plaza Athénée will take on the appearance of a film club for a few days. The second edition of the Plaza Cinéma Club, in collaboration with the MK2 group, will take place from June 26 to 30 in the courtyard garden, open for the summer in the heart of the 5-star palace on Avenue Montaigne in Paris.

Five films are featured in this edition: Back to the future (June 26), James Bond 007 versus Dr No (the 27th), The dinner of fools (the 28th), Interstellar (29) and, to close the series, The Grand Restaurant (on the 30th). A last film with a wink title since all the outdoor screenings are also meant to be gastronomic encounters under the leadership of the establishment’s starred chef, Jean Imbert. “With my teams, we push the concept to the limit by creating exclusive and unique menus for each film, where the different dishes arrive at a precise timing according to the key scenes of the film”, he explains.

Jamaican recipes or typical Parisian menu

On the program, “a menu with American vintage influences and a selection of cocktails”, “a menu made up of Jamaican recipes”, “a typical Parisian menu”, “an immersive menu” or even “a menu that pays homage to the great classics of French cuisine”. Jean Imbert enthusiastically approaches these screenings, the screening of which will begin at 9:45 p.m. with headphones: “The garden courtyard is such a sublime and verdant place. When I enter this place, I tell myself that it is the ideal place to watch a legendary movie in the open air. »

For these 5-star cinema sessions, it will take 270 euros (water, hot drinks and a glass of champagne included). Mandatory reservation.
