With the objective of contributing to projects for the restoration, conservation and sustainable management of natural resources, Banco Cuscatlán made a donation of 5,000 trees of forest species to the Environmental Investment Fund of El Salvador (FIAES).
“We are committed to our environment. We are pleased to support initiatives that seek to reverse the extreme global warming that we are currently experiencing, we know that our planet is in danger, and that we must generate positive actions that act against deforestation and that also greatly benefit agriculture and the inhabitants from the area”, said Evelyn Pozas, Marketing and Communications Coordinator of Banco CUSCATLAN.
Of the 5,000 trees donated, the forest species that stand out are: Mahogany, Leucaena, Copinol, Cenicero, Cortés Negro, and Paraíso will have adequate monitoring, technical and financial follow-up from FIAES and allied institutions such as the Municipal Mayor’s Office of Suchitoto.
“As FIAES we are very grateful to Banco CUSCATLAN with this donation that seeks to preserve resources both to harvest sustainably, protect water resources and prevent soil erosion in the area. We are very happy that companies are part of the change and with their support we can develop more projects”, explained the Executive Director of FIAES, Jorge Oviedo.
