Narva received a positive response from the Estonian Health Board to the application to open Narova Bay Joaorg (Linden Hole) for swimming. From June 5, the swimming season in the only place in the city where swimming is allowed in principle is open.
“Water analyzes are excellent, that is, by no means do they approach the limiting standards,” Tatyana Lennuk, head of the department of public utilities and construction, told NG.
Since June 1, the safety of vacationers on Joaorg Beach has been monitored by the lifeguards of the volunteer organization FirePro that won the competition for the provision of services. The amount of the contract, according to which they work on the beach from 10 am to 10 pm every day for three summer months, is 22,000 euros.
