Guinea Bissau: FATHER Terra Ranka achieves absolute majority in Parliament

The National Electoral Commission of Guinea-Bissau announced this afternoon the first results of the legislative elections of June 4, which give an absolute majority to the Platform of the Inclusive Alliance — PAI Terra Ranka, a coalition of five parties supported by the African Party of the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde (PAIGC), in the country’s Parliament.

According to the CNE, the Plataforma da Aliança Inclusiva — PAI Terra Ranka won 54 mandates, MADEM-G15 won 29 mandates, the Social Renewal Party (PRS) won 12 mandates, the Guinean Workers Party (PTG) won 6 mandates and the United People’s Assembly – Democratic Party of Guinea-Bissau (APU-PDGB) achieved a mandate.
