It’s a gift from heaven. A centenarian made a bequest worth nearly 8 million euros to her municipality on Monday, Roquefort-les-Pins, in the Alpes-Maritimes. Made up of built and unbuilt real estate, as well as rental rents, this donation represents the equivalent of the annual operating budget of this town of 7,600 inhabitants. It could be used to build a school, said the mayor, Michel Rossi.
