A few days before the start of winter, epidemiological statistics from the Ministry of Health indicate that six out of ten Argentines who belong to risk groups, with a recommendation to get vaccinated to prevent gripe, they haven’t done it yet. This despite the fact that -for them- the vaccine is free. The same is true of immunization against pneumonia and with the vaccine that prevents the complications of covid-19: they also have low compliance.
These data were revealed by a group of infectologists affiliated with the Argentine Society of Vaccinology and Epidemiology. As pointed out by members of the SAVE, today there are about 33 million Argentines who did receive their primary scheme against SARS-CoV-2 but who are in a position to receive their reinforcements, since more than six months have passed since their last dose. In the same way, it is estimated that the levels of prevention rates suggested with respect to the prevention of pneumonia are not being reached either.
