Mexico draws with Cameroon in preparatory game for CONCACAF Nations League

O Mexico scored a 2-2 draw with Cameroonthis Saturday, in a preparation game for the semi-final of the Concacaf League of Nations, played at the Snapdragon stadium in front of 30,543 spectators.

In the 37th minute, Bryan Mbeuma appeared in the Mexican area and made it 1-0 for the Indomitable Lions with a cross kick. El Tri evened the score in first-half injury time with an Israel Reyes shot inside the area.

In the second half, Mexican goalkeeper Luis Malagón let a ball slip and Karl Toko Ekambi appeared at the edge of the small area to make it 2-1 for Cameroon.

Already in the last moments of the match, Kevin Álvarez entered the Cameroonian area on the right and scored the equalizing goal with a low cross shot.

Mexico’s next game will be against USA, on Thursday, the 15th, for the semifinal of the Concacaf League of Nations, at the Allegiant Stadium, in Las Vegas. Cameroon will play again on September 3, against Burundi, for the qualifiers of the African Cup of Nations.
