Tender for the remodeling of the roof of the Cercanas de Collado Mediano station
Renfe has put out to tender the comprehensive remodeling of the roof of the Cercanas de Collado Mediano station for 431,000 euros. Following the award of this tender, according to the action plans, the works are expected to begin in December 2023 and finish in mid-2024.

With this tender, Renfe seeks to define the work necessary to adapt the roof and façades of the Collado Mediano station, of the Madrid Cercanas Nucleus. The successful bidder will have to provide a work plan prior to the start of the works that ensures the normal operation of this stop during the period of execution of the works. Among other aspects, it is specified that access to the platforms must be guaranteed at this time through the necessary measures for the safety of passengers and with the planning of actions in phases. Likewise, the rehabilitation solution adopted must respect the image presented by the building.

The Collado Mediano station came into operation 135 years ago, on July 1, 1888. It currently receives traffic from the C-8 train services of Cercanas Madrid and the Media Distancia trains that link Madrid with Segovia. . It is a stop built on the surface, with an underground passage between platforms, which has a two-story passenger building with a roof and façade that require comprehensive rehabilitation to recover its original functionality.
