The SED (State Secretary of Education) is investigating an alleged case of moral harassment by directors of the Professor Alberto Elpídio Ferreira Dias State School, called Professor Tito, one of the four civic-military schools in Campo Grande and located in Jardim Anache.

The situation was reported to the secretariat by the professionals who work at the school and reached the Campo Grande News. Cursing, humiliation and threats are among attitudes that are attributed both to the starter, Francisco Carlos da Silva Rojas, and his assistant, Carlos Leonardo Xavier.

According to the report received by the report, since 2021 the alleged acts of moral harassment have been committed, especially by the director, known as Professor Rojas who would make “jokes, humiliate, mistreat and make fun of professionals in bad taste”, in addition to creating derogatory nicknames both for teachers and other staff.

“He calls the cooks old women and with some teachers makes sexual insinuations and humiliating jokes, to the point that professionals leave the meetings crying”, quotes an excerpt from the complaint received by the Campo Grande Newswhich also reports a possible threat of dismissal to professionals who are called up or on a temporary basis.

There is also a complaint of possible abuse of power, this time against summoned teachers and even students. The director would have the habit of asking them to carry out repair services at the school during planning hours and he also makes this type of request to the students and pays them, but without authorization from the teenagers’ parents. The type of service requested would be such as faucet trimming, septic tank or grease trap cleaning and lawn mowing.

Finally, the complaint says that the directors are not accountable for the school’s cultural activities, such as June parties and other events that raise money and would also be in the habit of pitting professionals against each other, as well as students.

In a statement, the Department of Education said it was aware of the complaints and that an administrative procedure had been opened “for proper investigation of the reported cases”.

The report contacted director Rojas through social networks, but did not receive a response. The secretary, in turn, informed that “in cases like this, only the SED manifests itself until the administrative procedure is concluded”.
