New opportunities for Latin America.- Cristina Manzano
Latin America and the Caribbean has been one of the regions most affected by the different impacts of the pandemic caused by COVID-19, in health, economic and social terms. The economic forecasts for 2023 are not rosy, due to widespread inflationary trends, especially in the energy and food sectors, and due to the increase in public debt to cover the most pressing needs of the coronavirus. However, the green and digital transitions that the region must undertake to adapt to the ongoing climate and technological challenges offer opportunities to transform the production system and relaunch the social contract. In this process, the relations of the Latin American countries with each other, with their environment and with the main global powers will determine the shape and success of these transformations.
