MS Meeting in SJG Weert – Current Developments and Treatment Options for Multiple Sclerosis Patients

On Wednesday 21 June, SJG Weert, together with the MS Association of North and Central Limburg, is organizing an informative meeting about multiple sclerosis. MS patients and their loved ones are cordially invited to register.

During this meeting, current developments in the field of MS will be discussed, from the point of view of various healthcare providers. There is plenty of room to ask questions.

The following topics are covered:

ASITT (Adult Sensory Integration Timmerman Treatment)
Sensory integration is the smooth cooperation in your body between seeing, feeling, hearing, smelling, tasting and moving. With MS, there can be a disturbed processing of stimuli, with complaints such as dizziness, difficulty concentrating and being quickly bothered by light, noise and crowds, for example. ASITT is a treatment method to reduce these complaints.
Speakers: occupational therapists Marlou Woolderink and Patricia Bruijnaers.

MS news
The latest news in the field of multiple sclerosis.
Speakers: neurologists Harry Lövenich and Tim Alleman.

Network and clinimetrics
Climetrics is a collective term for various tests that can be used in MS. This assesses the mobility, tension and strength of the muscles and joints.
Speakers: physiotherapists Emmy Dijk and Heidi Jaspers.

The Mollii Suit is a personal assistive medical device used to relieve the symptoms of neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke or spinal cord injury.
