Consolidation of 103 BUMN Hotels Makes HIN the Second Largest Hotel Channel in Indonesia

JAKARTA – Consolidation process of 103 owned hotels BUMN targeted to be completed by the end of 2023. Currently there are only 60 hotel which has been synergized with PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (HIN).

Main Director of PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney Dony Oskaria said the consolidation of state-owned hotels would have a positive impact on the domestic hospitality sector. In fact, this corporate action has made the Hotel Indonesia Group the second largest hotel channel in Indonesia.

“We hope that by the end of this year there will be 103 hotels that will join HIN. This will certainly be a good pillar for our hotel industry in Indonesia,” said Dony during a hearing (RDP) with Commission VI of the DPR RI, Wednesday (14 /6/2023).

In the consolidation process, continued Dony, his party is still carrying out a number of stages, one of which is reviewing the equalization of standard operating procedures (RDP) for all hotels owned by HIN. In addition to uniting all state-owned hotels, InJourney is also consolidating its subsidiary in the aviation sector and is targeted for completion in July 2023.

The two BUMNs that have been consolidated are PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) or AP I and PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) or AP II. Currently, the process of reviewing the operational policies and commercial policies of the two companies is being carried out.

Dony said another stage that was carried out before the consolidation was finalized was revamping AP I and AP II’s revenue streams. So that it is expected to have an impact on the batton line in the aviation sector.

“Including that we will consolidate instead of this, because these are the subsidiaries that are subsidized by the parent company and we will do this, and we hope that the consolidation process will be completed in July this year, which is in the aviation sector,” he said.
